History and Significance:

The Campbellfield Soldiers Memorial was erected in memory of the men from Campbellfield who enlisted in World War One.

The State Commandant (Brigadier-General C.H. Brand) unveiled a soldiers memorial at Campbellfield on Saturday. The memorial, which is of Stawell granite, is erected in the recreation reserve, and bears the names of 37 soldiers who enlisted from Campbellfield, of whom six fell in the war. After the unveiling of the memorial a number of medals were presented to returned soldiers by Councillor Gibb. The Argus (Melbourne), 12th January 1920

History and Significance:

The Moorabbin Boer War Memorial was originally a fountain erected by public subscription and unveiled by the Premier, Mr Bent, on the 7th May 1904. It honoured the men from Moorabbin Shire who saw active service in the Boer War. The memorial was designed and erected by Mr Wilson of Surrey Hills. It originally stood in Cheltenham Park but was relocated in 1999 to the rear of the Cheltenham RSL.

History and Significance:

Monument characteristics : A marble statue of a World War One bugler on a polished grey granite pedestal on a granite plinth on a three-stepped granite base. The memorial was unveiled by the Governor-General Lord Forster. The wall surrounding the memorial has a number of plaques which commemorate other conflicts in in which Australians have served.

History and Significance:

The monument is an "eternal flame " memorial and lists 13 soldiers who died in service or were killed in action in World War Two. It also honours World War One, the Korean and Vietnam Wars. The monument is one of only four eternal flame monuments in Australia.
