Welcome to my journey into the fascinating, extremely addictive and, sometimes frustrating world of the family historian.
Nearly 20 years ago, I felt the first desires to find out where I came from. I dove head first into the history of my family but, it was not long before I realised that I actually knew very little about them.
Since then we have uncovered pilots, soldiers, farmers, medics, sailors, convicts, gardeners, hoteliers, home makers and, many many other fascinating characters. Our research has uncovered triumphs and tragedies, long lives and sadly, short. But, no matter what we found, each and every one was a joy to encounter and, a pleasure to research.
This Family History website was not only developed to show off some of this research, but also to highlight some of the problems and brick-walls that I have encountered and to go through some of the solutions I used to overcome them. Over this period I created a number of Genealogy Forms and Charts (plus a Spreadsheet) that I have used with great success over the years and, some high Quality Website Templates for displaying our research results online.
All these items are free and have been packaged into zip files for use by other family historians who may be looking for similar items.
